QuickTip: Hide an account in OSX

There may be a time you find yourself wanting to hide a user account in OSX’s menu.

Maybe just to clean up the menu and make it less confusing for younger users or just the added security of not giving away the administrator userID. This terminal command will do the trick.

Open up Terminal and run the following command, replacing 'AccountName' with the account you want to hide. In the event you need to change it back, just change 1 to 0

Once you reboot, your hidden user will no longer show up as an option.
