First Thoughts:

After unpacking and inspecting the auris bluetooth adapter. I was very pleased and impressed with the build quality and attention to detail put into it. the setup is as easy as any bluetooth device. Pair it up and your good to go.

My first test was with my bose portable speakers using the 30pin connected. Sound quality way great and worked very well. The instructions claim a range up to 33feet. I was able to get that in addition to going though 2 walls. I will admit i'm not sure if it went through the walls. I know bluetooth bounces it could of very well bounced around the walls. But still, it nailed it with no diminished  sound quality at all.

My second test and the real reason I wanted this device was for my car. I currently have a Toytoa FJ. I installed a Dice electronics adaptor years ago. Which is connects to a 30pin dock. My thinking was to find something that would let me go wireless. By connecting it straight to the Dice electronics via 30pin connecter. I found auris on kickstarted and though it was a perfect match. Well to my surprised this didn't work out. I'm not sure what the difference is between my Dice electronics and boss docks. But it clearly does NOT work. The auris doesn't even power up.

That being said. I went ahead and tested the mini stereo line on the auris. Since my FJ has a mini AUX out it was very straight forward. This worked flawlessly very clear and crisp however as expected since it's an analog signal the volume doesn't seem as loud when turned all the way up.

Wrap-up:

auris met and excited all my expectations for a Kickstarter product. Now they had made allot of sales through kickstarter. I think they could of made many more sales if their product hit the public earlier. Allot of people were looking for such a product when the iPhone5 was released. I feel by now most will of found other solutions. This also would of made a decent Christmas present as well but again timing so close to christmas is not always a smart move. As most are done shopping or will not be able to get it under their tree in time.

This is a great product. It's build quality and sound quality far surpasses anything on the market. If your still in need to connect an old 30pin dock with your shiny new iOS device via bluetooth this is really the only way to go.
