TechBits: Why I Still Trust RSS, Where Vision Pro Fits, and What This New Format Is About

This video kicks off a different kind of LifeWithTech format: less of a single-topic deep dive, and more of a conversational roundup of what has been crossing my desk. I talk through RSS, AI summaries, BlueSky, TikTok, Apple Vision Pro, creator gear, iCloud, smart home devices, game streaming, and security, but the bigger thread is control: choosing what deserves our attention instead of letting feeds and algorithms choose for us.

One reason RSS still matters to me is that it starts with sources I picked on purpose. AI can help summarize and sort through information, but it should not replace judgment, context, or actually reading the original story. That same idea carries into social platforms, short-form video, and even cloud services: discovery and convenience are useful, but they are not the same thing as depth, trust, or a real backup plan.

The Apple Vision Pro conversation in this episode comes back to productivity and community. I still see it less as a gaming headset and more as an early spatial computing workspace, especially for creators, developers, and people trying to understand where this category is going. This first TechBits episode is really an opening note for the format: a little news, a little experience, a little opinion, and hopefully a useful conversation along the way.
