Affinity Rewrites the Rules With One Unified App

Affinity made a big move by rolling Photo, Designer, and Publisher into one unified app. That alone changes the workflow for anyone who has bounced between the old separate tools, but the bigger story is how much this shifts Affinity's position as an everyday creative suite.

In the video, I walk through the new app, the updated Studios concept, the pricing and Canva subscription caveat, and what it feels like to move between pixel, vector, and publishing tools in one place. It is a cleaner setup than juggling separate apps, but it also raises good questions about where Affinity goes next now that Canva is part of the picture.

My takeaway is that this is one of the most interesting creative-app updates of the year. If Affinity can keep the workflow fast and approachable while avoiding subscription confusion, this unified app could become a much stronger Adobe alternative for creators who want powerful tools without the usual friction.
